Meet David

David Ellis is a longtime public servant with a record of proven leadership and thoughtful stewardship. From his career as a city attorney to leading key organizations here on Hilton Head Island, David has always put community first. Now, he’s ready to bring that same experience, integrity and dedication to Town Council as your representative for Ward 5.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the University of Chicago School of Law
  • City attorney in Vicksburg, Mississippi
  • Served on the board of the Sea Pines Country Club for 6 years
  • Served on the CSA board for 6 years and Sea Pines POA board for 3 years

David and Barbie have celebrated 60-plus years of marriage
